The MarePineta Resort is a timeless classic.
Surrounded by a century-old pine forest and located just a few steps away from its own private and wide beach of golden sand, the Resort “MarePineta” dates back to the1920s. It was then, as it is now, an icon of style and elegance in Milano Marittima and has become, over the years, the flagship of exclusive holidays on the the Adriatic Riviera.
Rooms And Suites
The MarePineta 161 guestrooms are set in three different buildings: the historic Casa Madre, dating back to 1927, the futuristic “Cube”, signed by the famed Architects Lissoni & Associates, and Villa Regina, the “glass” building located right in the gardens. Since 2016, the rooms in the historic Casa Madre have undergone renovation works based on a project by Lissoni. Today, the guestrooms are all different from one another and finely decorated in a soft marine style. The 16 guestooms in the Cube are elegant and refined and include the Lissoni Executive and Junior Suites with a more sophisticated atmosphere. The rest of the guestrooms are located in Villa Regina, the glass building

A bit of History
Two are the milestones in the history of Milano Marittima: the official foundation of the town in 1912 and the inauguration of the MarePineta Hotel in 1927. At that time, tourism was still in its infancy. Nonetheless it was clear that charm, style, elegance, and an unparalleled offer would attract a high-end and refined clientele.
In the early twentieth century, a rich entrepreneur from Milan decided to build several elegant houses surrounded by beautiful gardens, along part of the Cervia coastline. This is why, a lot of wealthy families from the Milan upper and middle class began spending their holidays in the newly built resort, which soon became Milano Marittima. Today, it is one of the most loved and refined destinations along the Adriatic Coast.
When designing Milano Marittima, the founder was inspired by the idea of the “garden-city” (a concept developed at the end of the 19th century in England). That is why, he built the new resort in the middle of the pinewood, at a short walking distance from the beach.
In the 1920s and 1930s, Milano Marittima became the destination for prominent figures from the world of culture and art, such as the novelist and Nobel Prize Grazia Deledda, and the poets Ungaretti and Luzi.
In the 1980s, Milano Marittima became the place-to-be during the hot Italian summers, with an upscale clientele enjoying nights at the discos and tennis tournaments with the participation of some of the most famous tennis champions.
Milano Marittima is today the preferred destination of an élite clientele for its exclusive ambience, trendy clubs, lush greenery, beautiful beaches, culture, sightseeing and, most of all, excellent wining and dining.
